Q: Is surgery in a hospital safer than an office outpatient facility?
A: Some short procedures can safely be performed in the office setting if the surgeon is board certified and the
facility is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF).
However, Dr. Movagharnia believe in patient’s safety and performs all of his surgical procedures at the hospital
especially if patients with medical problems that will need care of board-certified anesthesiologist and those who
wish to combine procedures such as Abdominoplasty and extensive liposuction benefit by having their surgery
performed at the hospital.
FAQ Botox Treatement Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Q: What is the Botox?
A: BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by a bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that
cause frown lines between the eyes. Wrinkles are diminished by muscle relaxation not by fillers such as collagen or
Restylane. The procedure takes less than 5 minutes and is performed in the office. The result lasts for
approximately 3-4 months. You should avoid any blood thinning products such as aspirin, Motrin, vitamin E,
coumadin, Aleve, Advil or Excedrin for 10 days prior to any injection procedure, so will have less
bruising.
FAQ Arm Lift Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Q: Am I a Good Candidate for Upper Arm Lift?
Upper arm lift surgery is best suited for people who are in relatively good shape but have loose
upper arm skin or have a significant amount of upper arm fat that will not respond to dieting or
exercise. Many of our upper arm lift patients have lost a major amount of weight, leaving an abundance
of skin under their arms. However, thin people can also suffer from flabby upper arm skin due to genetics
and aging.
Typically, upper arm lift patients are extremely pleased with their trim, toned arms. They're now able to
wear the clothes they want and participate in more activities — without hesitation or embarrassment.
At CCRS Atlanta, we offer a gallery of upper arm lift before and after pictures to give you an idea of the
results you can expect.
Q: How is an Upper Arm Lift Performed?
An incision is made from the elbow to the armpit, along the interior area of each arm, and excess skin
and fat is removed. Drainage tubes are inserted if necessary. Incisions are then sutured closed,
using the best technique for minimal scarring.
FAQ Thigh Lift Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Q: Am I a Good Candidate for a Thigh Lift?
If you are unhappy with the sagging or drooping of the skin on your upper thigh, then a thigh lift may be a
good option for you. Of the people who seek thigh lifts with us. Ideal candidates are physically and
emotionally healthy, maintain a stable weight and do not smoke. You should also have realistic expectations
of the results, as thigh lifts are not a substitute for weight loss.
Most of our thigh lift patients are able to notice results immediately, including smoother, tighter skin
around the thigh area. You can see how other patients have benefitted from the procedure by looking at thigh
lift before and after pictures.
Q: How is a Thigh Lift Performed?
The surgery begins with an incision in the groin area, near the hip. Excess skin is removed, and the
remaining skin is stretched back in place. The incision is then closed with small stitches and covered
with sterile bandages. Small tubes may be inserted for several days to drain excess fluid from the
surgery.
Q: What are Thigh Lift Costs?
The price for a thigh lift will vary according to the patient's specific needs. We recommend setting up a
personal consultation with Dr. Movagharnia. He and his staff can discuss all aspects of the procedure with
you, including thigh lift costs. At CCRS Atlanta, you will be treated as an individual, not just another
patient. Please schedule a meeting with us today so we can discuss thigh lift surgery and how the procedure
can help you. We welcome men and women from Atlanta area and all over the USA.
FAQ Body Lift Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Q: Am I a Good Candidate for a Body Lift?
The body lift procedure is performed on post-bariatric patients who have excess skin because of massive
weight loss. However, results can also be dramatic for individuals of normal, stable weight. For example,
some of our tummy tuck patients in our practice choose to undergo a body lift to tighten the skin on their
thighs and buttocks, as well as their bellies.
If you would like an idea of what kind of results you can expect from a belt lipectomy, please inspect an
assortment of body lift before and after pictures. These images are a good resource when you are gathering
information about the procedure. You can see body lift before and after pictures at our Galleria office and
online at www.CCRSplasticsurgery.com.
Q: How is a Body Lift Performed?
A complete belt lipectomy generally targets the buttocks, abdomen, waist, hips and thighs in one procedure.
However, a body lift can be done in one surgical session or in stages, depending on the patient's needs.
Typically, body lifts require a circumferential incision around the body. Your surgeon then removes an
apron of excess fat and skin and repositions and tightens tissues.
FAQ Buttock Augmentation Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Q: Am I a Good Candidate for Buttock Enhancement?
Because buttock enhancement encompasses various techniques, there is a good chance that you will be
suitable for the procedure. For patients who are overweight, fat injections, also known as the Brazilian
butt lift, may be the most appropriate option. Thinner individuals, however, may get the best results
from implants or butt lift surgery. Most of the patients who come into our office for buttock enhancement
have the following concerns with their derriere:
- unhappy with the size and shape
- poor skin tone
- loose or excess skin
- stretch marks
- cellulite
Shapely and toned buttocks are a goal for many men and women, especially as they age. Time, gravity and
other factors can cause your skin to sag and fat to gather in particularly unsightly places. If you are
interested in shaping up your backside, then please check out our butt enhancement before and after pictures.
We will be happy to show you our butt enhancement photos during your initial consultation at our office.
Q: How is a Buttock Enhancement Performed?
If your buttocks are very large, then you may first benefit from liposuction to reduce overall size. If, on
the contrary, you want larger buttocks with more projection, then you might be better served with a butt
implant or fat injection to the buttocks. Implants or fat injections will fill out the butt and lift the
buttocks. However, if your buttocks are sagging, but you do not want an augmentation, your butt can be
lifted by removing tissue and tightening skin. If the sag is minimal, then a "butt wedge" excision might
be indicated. The tissue is excised at the buttock crease and leaves a relatively unnoticeable scar.
No matter your body type or preference for buttock enhancement, Dr. Movagharnia will work carefully to find
the best solution for you. With his conscientious and compassionate care, he has helped patients in Atlanta
and beyond reshape and perk up their backsides. Our butt enhancement has improved the lives of men and women
from all over Atlanta and the USA.
FAQ Forehead Lift Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Q: Am I a Good Candidate for a Brow Lift?
Most people are interested in a forehead lift as a way to look younger by tackling the lines and grooves
across their forehead and between their brows. The brow lift patients at our offices are typically between
the ages of 40 and 60. However, younger adults may be suitable for the procedure if they have developed
furrows as a result of stress, muscle activity or inherited conditions. Some of the more common reasons
for a forehead lift include:
- Sagging brow
- Forehead wrinkling
- Deep creases between the eyebrows and on the bridge of the nose
- Deep furrows between the eyes
When you are considering a forehead lift, it is a good idea to look at some brow lift before and after
pictures to see what you can expect from the procedure. The staff at CCRS Atlanta will be pleased to share
our assortment of brow lift photos when you attend your initial consultation in our office.
Q: How is a Brow Lift Performed?
There are several options for a brow lift, depending on the extent of the correction and your surgeon’s
preferences. Some typical methods include:
- An endoscopic brow lift uses a surgical video device called an endoscope and other special instruments. These are inserted into small incisions within the hairline. The surgeon will manipulate the tissue and muscle beneath the skin, correcting the source of visible creases and furrows in the forehead.
- To fix a low-positioned or sagging brow, the surgeon may or may not use an endoscope. Incisions are typically made at the temple and in the scalp. Sometimes, this method may also require incisions hidden in the natural crease of the upper eyelids to eliminate frown lines between the brows.
- Another technique is the coronal brow lift, which targets specific regions to correct. For this method, the surgeon will make an incision from ear to ear. The forehead will be lifted, and excess skin will be removed from the scalp.
No matter the technique, the incision lines from a brow lift are usually well concealed within the hair or
natural contours of the face, although some may need to be made at the hairline. Results appear gradually,
as swelling and bruising subside, to reveal smoother forehead skin and a more youthful, restful appearance.
At CCRS, some of our patients choose to have their brow lift in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures
to achieve a more harmonious facial appearance.
FAQ Lip Augmentation Questions & Answers (Q&A)
Q: Am I a Good Candidate for Lip Augmentation?
Lip augmentation may be a good choice for anyone who is displeased with the size or shape of his or her
lips. Our lip augmentation patients in our practice usually have the following goals:
- achieving a sensuous, plump look for their lips
- balancing their facial features
- restoring lost volume and shape
- increasing self-confidence in their appearance
How you feel about your lips can affect your self-image. If you are thinking about lip augmentation as a
way to enhance your appearance, then please take a look at some lip augmentation before and after pictures.
CCRS Plastic Surgery has various photos you can see during your initial consultation.
Q: How is Lip Augmentation Performed?
There are a variety of options when it comes to lip augmentation. When you speak with our staff, we will
make sure you thoroughly understand the differences between the techniques. After we have listened closely
to your objectives and given you a comprehensive evaluation, we will help decide which method is best for
you. Common procedures for lip augmentation include:
- Injectable fillers are probably the most widespread method for lip augmentation. They are available in various brand names, such as Radiesse® and Restylane®, and use key ingredients like collagen, calcium hydroxylapatite or hyaluronic acid. Injections are made with a tiny needle, targeting several points on your lips.
- Synthetic implants are the most invasive type of lip augmentation, but they also offer the most permanent results. Your surgeon will place the implant in a small incision inside the lip.
- Fat grafting is becoming more popular because it actually uses your own fat. The procedure involves harvesting fat from another area of your body, often the abdomen or thighs. After the fat is processed and purified, it is inserted with a small needle at several points on your lips.
